Family ties Please check out eleri's post re: a fundable acct to help their family (medical bills, the kids, keeping afloat, etc.) (If you can't see the post, here is the link to the acct)
I imagine quite a few of you have already seen this post, as we have many folks in common.
This is not a solicitation, but an informative post.
They're family, and I want to help in any small way I can, like passing word along.

Do you find the word "chick" when spoken to a woman, offensive? Do you use the word yourself? Is it derogatory or descriptive? Are there other such (mostly) non-inflammatory words that strike a personal chord? Discuss. Play nice. Current Mood: curious |

These are meant to stimulate intelligent discussion. What are your thoughts on affirmative action? Is it still a necessity? Have we as a society, painted ourselves into a corner? Should people be accepted into positions based solely on merit, vs. race? Discuss. Play nice. Current Mood: curious |

so lessee.... had a good interview w/ a temp agency. they may have a position for me starting in march. lots of data entry and room for advancement. sounds good to me. also, was offered the part of Nurse today in a local production of Romeo and Juliet. Never acted before, so this should be fun. Ryan was offered (and accepted) the part of Tybalt, Prince of Cats. we're headed to SoCal nect weekend for Ry's Grandma's85th bday party. yay fun. V-day was nice and mellow. good thoughts to you all. Current Mood: happy |

standing on the brink
i'm going to pick up my new meds. i start them in the morning. i will be incresing the dosge in a week and gradually tapering off the zoloft. this is big. i took today off from work, because i knew i wouldn't be able to concentrate on work. my life.... could get better as a result of this. i'm not reliant on meds, but i know they help me to function better than i do without. i'm trying not to obsess over the improvements i might see, just in case. i'm a little scared and hopeful. may go through a rough patch, may not. be patient, hmm? Current Mood: hopeful |
